| Customer Reviews: My 5 year old loves these Barbies! December 29, 2006 Modern Blue Argonaut 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got these for my daughter and I was surprised to find out that these Barbies are a bit smaller than the full size Barbie, but quite a bit bigger than the Kelly dolls. My daughter likes to call them Barbie Teenagers! There are a couple of tricks to the dolls, first you have to make sure you have Barbies rear positioned correctly on the stand because if she faces the wrong way she will fall and that won't be any fun for the kids. Secondly, you have to make sure the stand is in tight on the platform. Third, when you position Barbies limbs, for example, with her leg up, it is best to put her hand in front of her foot rather than behind. That way her leg does not fall. Other than those few things this toy is super fun to play with. The two platforms come apart so the Barbies can spin seperately or they can lock together. The colors of aqua and purple are really beautiful, and I love the fact that the shoes are permanantly attached to the feet. I get so tired of vacuuming up the little Barbie shoes. That gave me an idea to hot glue all of the Barbie shoes on from now on. Each doll has a beautiful crown and perfectly styled hair. I would not hesitate to buy this again for any young girl!
Won't keep their attention very long March 26, 2009 S. L. Williams (Connecticut) Got this for my then 7 year old daughter for Christmas because she saw them on TV and of course went crazy over them. She opened them and played with them for what I think was an hour or two before moving on FOR GOOD!
They spin manually, meaning you have to move the stands by hand to make the dolls spin - not battery operated like the Barbie princess one.
Also, the dolls fall of the stand easily unless they are tightly positioned. I had to position the dolls in order for them to stay for any length of time. When my daughter positioned them they fell after a couple of twirls.
If your daughter really likes the movie, I would say just get the dolls instead and not these spinners since my daughter just ended up playing with the dolls afterward.
