What a great toy!!! October 10, 2006 Lannea Butler (SLC, UT) 122 out of 123 found this review helpful
I bought this house for my daughters six year old birthday. She loves it and has played with it for hours. The house comes with alot of extra things to play with in your new house(pots and pans, silverware, food, flowers, lamps, laundry basket) definatly worth the money
Really a fun dollhouse December 31, 2006 D. Dryburgh (Dallas, TX United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Assembly can be time-consuming and some of the decorative trim pieces require a light touch. However, once I got it together, I haven't had any problem with it staying together. My 5 year old daughter LOVES it. She's been cranking the stairs constantly and they still work fine.
All in all, definitely worth the money. No complaints here.
My daughter LOVES this dreamhouse... June 8, 2007 LA Mama (Los Angeles, CA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I decided to get the Barbie Dreamhouse for my 5 year old daughter after researching and reading all the reviews of the various different "Barbie" houses out there. After comparing features, this one just seemed like the one that I would have wanted when I was a kid (and desperately wanted a Barbie Dreamhouse!), so I ordered it.
Setting it up was not at all difficult, but took maybe around an hour. It was not a chore though-- it was actually kind of fun.
There are sooo many great fun features to this house: the entertainment center folds down into a murphy bed, the doorbell rings, there's a stereo that plays music, the fridge opens, the toilet flushes, the dryer spins, and there are a zillion little fun accessories-- too name just a few of the great features. It's also much bigger than it seems from looking at the picture but because of the pale pink color, it's not an eyesore at all.
Yes, the windows do pop out sometimes but it's really not that big of a nuisance (and I suppose, as some reviewers have suggested, you could easily krazy glue them shut). But as for the overall quality, I was pretty impressed. It's much more sturdy than the particle board houses-- and far prettier. Plus, instead of having appliances and furniture painted on the back walls(like many of the other houses), the Dreamhouse has actual appliances and furniture. So much more fun for a child to play with!
My daughter has already spent endless hours playing with this toy. She always had a ton of Barbie dolls but she never played with them as consistently as she has until getting the Dreamhouse. She tells me all the time how much she loves it. It really is a terrific toy. And the Amazon price is amazing-- at Toys R Us they are selling it for $129.99! Plus Amazon offers free shipping!
You can't go wrong with this house. I am so beyond thrilled that I got it for my daughter!!
Only toy to keep my energetic 4 year old attention February 12, 2007 T. Nordstrom 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is hands down the BEST toy my child has ever received. EVERYDAY since xmas she has played with this for a minimum of two hours. I can't believe she hasn't gotten bored yet. We have let her leave it in the living room which is key. She uses it to play with her polly pockets, bratz, barbies. She loves it and I believe she'll get many more years out of this toy. By the way..my daughter is typically from toy to toy so keeping her attention has been huge!
Nice Barbie House! December 30, 2006 Faith Branning (Canada) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
She has 3 Barbie type houses now and this one is her favorite because it actually does things! It is a little flimsy because I already broke a small tab off the sliding door when I was setting it up. She has the Kidcraft one with the elevator which is mu ch sturdier and the Step @ Dollhouse but she said this one is the most fun. All the appliance work. I recommend it!
